Christmas Schedule

Sunday 12/24 8 and 10:30 am ADVENT LESSONS AND CAROLS We worship on Sunday morning, 12/24, hearing prophecies and singing hymns in anticipation of celebrating our Savior’s birth!
Christmas Eve Family 3 pm (Note the new time!) “WHERE SHEPHERDS LATELY KNELT” This family Christmas Service will feature recitation and music by our Sunday school children; Christmas hymns; a Christmas message and the Christmas account according to Luke chapter 2. All are welcomed!
Christmas Eve Festival 5 pm “PEACE CAME TO EARTH” This festival Christmas Service will feature Scripture lessons and a Christmas message, as well as special music by our “His Praise” Choir and a special, children’s Christmas choir. The service ends with the singing of Silent Night in candlelight.
Christmas Eve 10 pm Service of Lessons and Carols for Christmas—A long-standing tradition in the Christian Church is the Christmas Service that tells the story of promise and fulfillment with lessons and song. Our contemporary group “With One Voice” provides the music for this service. The service ends with a devotion and with the singing of Silent Night as the congregation gathers with candles. A pre-service hymn sing begins at 9:50 pm.
Christmas Day Festival Service 9 am—The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us! Jesus became our brother and still He is pleased to come to us in Word and Holy Communion. This Festival Service will gather around Word, Supper, and Song as we celebrate the mystery and wonder of it all—what we couldn’t do (come to Him); He did by coming to us. Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Glory to the Newborn King!
New Year’s Day (First Sunday After Christmas)-12/31 9 am and 6:30 pm—Our morning Service will be a Service of Word and Sacrament as our Christmas celebration continues. Our evening Service will be a Song and Prayer Service as we bid farewell to 2017 and pray for God’s blessing and peace on 2018!
